Just a public FYI - the Internet connection is through Big Skyz, not
Dish Network (Big Skyz installs and maintains the Dish apparatus, but
their Internet service is separate).
I called Big Skyz Saturday morning. Nobody as there, so I left a message.
Roddy called back a few hours later and gave me a more direct number to
call in the future. We couldn't be there Saturday afternoon for a service
call, so Solius (their tech guru/trouble-shooter) came out early Sunday
morning. He switch the port our unit is hooked up to (they're in that
telecom room on the first floor), and that fixed the problem for now.
Roddy said that when they get that second line in, it should also ease
the strain. He also said that they weren't too happy with their current
provider.
I have to give Big Skyz this: Whenever we've had a Net problem, they're
right on it. ASAP. Solius has been with them a few years, and he's
first-rate. We've had no Dish problems, so I can't speak to that, but I
do give them high marks for their Net service.
