The call re suspicious individuals should be made to 911. 311 will NOT respond to such a call and will probably connect us to 911.

Dear Vanguard Lofts Residents:
Re: Car Break Ins
Recently, there have been several reported incidents of cars being broken into. The crimes have taken place on the city streets as well as in the parking garage of our building.
We all need to take appropriate steps to deter this crime, please follow these important steps to protect your vehicle.
a.. Never leave any items of value in sight, this includes but is not limited to: CD's, tapes, loose change, brief cases, cell phones, sunglasses etc.
b.. Call 311 immediately if you see suspicious individuals loitering near the building. Call 911 if you see a crime in process.
c.. Join neighbors at the monthly CAPS meeting to reaffirm our concerns and vocalize our concerns for more police protection.
The next CAPS meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, August 17, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. at the following location:
Our Lady of Pompeii
1224 W. Lexington
Chicago, IL
I urge you all to attend. If anyone wishes to add any comments or suggestions please contact us at vanguard-talk@venus.soci.niu.edu.
Sincerely,
Donna Wlezien
Property Manager
