I am not sure which officer gave this information. His advice is good,
but I am not sure of the accuracy of his information.

Our unit was burglarized in late-August, and I can tell you that it was
not by people posing as workmen. The surveillance tapes clearly show
the culprits, dressed in street clothes, using our luggage to assist in
their get-away. There were 2 break-ins that happened shortly after ours
on the 7th floor; the tapes featured the same 2 people.

Additionally, they appeared to use a key to the 2 outside doors.
However later the police suspected a pry-bar was used to the outside
doors.

I do not respond to many emails but I must say the
smell was terrible. I know I sometimes watch dogs for
friends but I always walk to the back elevator. I
wish everyone would take a little more pride in our
building because it is ours. Nobody wishes to live in
building that is not well cared for. Please remember
we need to follow our rules and take care of the
building not only for ourselves but for buyers who are
interested in buying in the building.

On a different note, a police officer who works in our
district informed me that the recent break ins have
been because owners are letting in people. The police
officer informed me that the individual breaking in is
showing up at the front door acting like a repairman.
He is dressed in overalls and has a ttool bag He then
moves around the building checking to see who is home.
Please start asking visitors to wait to be buzzed and
workers to buzz or show their work order, therefore,
we can stop the break ins.
