While I agree that the halls are a bit dim, it seems to be a trend nowadays
(particularly in loft buildings) to have dimmer halls. Certainly, he high
ceilings and the fact that the ceilings are not painted white contribute to
the feeling of a dimmer hallway. I'm not sure if it's an aesthetic or cost
savings choice (in other loft buildings) to have the halls as they are, but
comparitively, I don't think Vanguard's halls are that dim.

However, it is a board decision, so this can be brought up again at the open
forum at the next board meeting and the board can decide if they want to
discuss it further.
