I'm having the same exact problem as Nimesh. I actually had a heating service come out and paid way too much for literally 2 minutes of his time. He basically reset the system that was talked about in that last email...and it worked. But, now it is happening again.

Thanks for your input. The HVAC does start up ond the blower gets cranking but the burners don't ignite and the coils do not heat up. After a few minutes the hvac ends the start up process without ever blowing warm air.
This continues on as long as the thermostat triggers the hvac to turn on to maintian the temperature. So what do you think?
Thanks again.

Nim,
I don't think the HVAC units have a manual pilot light, I believe they are electronic ignition. What kind of actions is your furnace going through? Do you hear the blower kick on, then the heat coil (which should turn red as it gets hot) then the burners should ignite. If one of these actions isn't occurring, most likely it's a simple reset button. It could be that the heat coil isn't getting hot enough to ignite the burner (pilot). Or the motherboard is old, dirty and no good.
It also could get more complicated than that and not for the DIYer's but left up to professionals to fix.
Here is a check that you can do youself; The furnace units have about 3 or 4 reset buttons, they are small, square, red or black in color. Turn the circuit breaker off. Crawl up there and remove the front panel of the furnace, locate the reset buttons and push each one of them. If you hear a "click", then hopefully that was the problem.

I believe my pilot light is out on my HVAC in my unit. My error light
is giving me code 31. I believe that it's due to pilot light out. I
remeber re-lighting it a while back. Can anyone fill me in on how to
exactly do it? Thanks
