I got stuck last night too, but simply went up and down a couple of times, pressing the buttons for it to stop at each floor. It finally opened on 2 on my third trip. This was at about 9:30. Rather aggravating I agree.

My wife got stuck in one of our elevators for the THIRD TIME in the last year.
If that isn't enough the emergency call button did not work AGAIN. This
time it was the front elevator. Luckily she had a phone on her this time so
she only spent about 20 minutes in it before the FD came. Why is it so hard to
have elevators that work? How can the emergency call button not work again?
