i've filed a report at the police station on racine for a break-in during
broad daylight and it's always *your* fault for leaving something in the
car. its a recurring problem. we should set up a couple cars on van buren,
then put some sharpshooters on the roof or balconies. i've actually yelled
at people before from my balcony who were peering into windows who ran
away. i've seen reminder signs in some places in the west loop warning that
it is a high crime area. maybe we need to post something like that.
