An owner's car, parked on VanBuren, next to Vanguard was stolen last evening
sometime between 7:30 and 10:00. If anyone saw or heard anything, please let
me know (unit 614). Those of us who park on the street need to be vigilant
in setting alarms, using "The Club", etc.

The issue of why we park on the street needs to be resolved also. This car
was parked there because we have only one space and two cars. However, when
street parking is available for both, we leave both cars on the street because
THE LOT IS NOT SECURE!!!! Anyone who desires can walk into the lot and do
whatever they want to our vehicles. If someone is so bold as to steal from
the street where they are pretty visible, we can assume they would welcome the
relative invisibility offered by the garage, especially the underground.

Also I feel extremely insecure using the stairwell from the lot since the
doors are not locked and anyone who wants can enter the stairwell and wait
there for a promising victim..

Are we, who purchased a "secured parking spot" expected to pay assessments
from June 1 for something which we did not purchase, namely an insecure spot?

Mary
