Thanks to the rules committee for their undertaking. No matter what is
enacted their will be some who disagree.

I think the proposed rule regarding dogs using the back elevator is
reasonable. Besides restricting them to the rear elevator, pet owners should
also be encouraged to use the rear stairs with their pets if they choose to
take the stairs instead of the elevator.

The owner/renter ratio should also be re-examined. As far as board approval
of renters: What are the legalities of such a rule?

Please do not take this final comment as a criticism of the Board. No matter
what rules are established, they will be ineffective if they are not
enforceable. An earlier requirement that dogs be registered has been ignored
by some. A directive that all bikes be stored properly was never followed up
on. There is a rule in our documents that prohibits storing bikes on
balconies, yet there are still some stored there. Is it possible to insure
that everyone will cooperate when rules are established?
