I don't have it, but I can answer some of the other questions since I spoke
with the install tech about it. Maybe one of the folks who have it can
speak to the satisfaction/install/customer service questions you have.

USADish has a T1 line from the building to an internet service provider,
instead of the satellite solution that was talked about at the original
meeting last year. They then run the connectivity into your unit over
several of your phone line pairs, and provide you with an ethernet connection.

The T1 will be faster than DSL and more reliable since the telco
(Ameritech) monitors T1 lines for outages and (usually) pro actively repair
them.

I can't speak to a comparison with cable modem. It really won't be an
option anyway. ;)

T1s don't go down too often, that's why businesses use them. They are also
buried underground, so weather seldom affects them.
