Paul, the "dish" you saw on 513 balcony is apparently my decoractive thermometer. It is round and about the size of the dishes and is at the end of my balcony close to 513.
The dog mess was obviously fresh (strong smell and not "tracked through" by passengers) at about 3:30 this pm. when I came in. The elevator was at 1 and I figured the person might have just gotten off. I took a quick look outside to see if there was anyone walking a dog but didn't see anyone. Someone (and I'll bet, not the one responsible) has cleaned it. Thanks to them.
