attached mail follows:
In an attempt to demonstrate our dissatisfaction with Ameritech, First
Properties switched to MPower communications last Friday. Either
Ameritech or MPower screwed up and we have NO phones (in or out). I
have been assured that the problem will be corrected by the end of the
day today. As stated in the letter put under everyone's door on
Saturday (after I discovered there was a problem) you may use our
emergency answering service and call 800-970-7216 to report an
emergency.
Having no phones, meant I also had no email. I am only as of now able
to check my email from a different location.
The elevator breakdown over this past weekend was unrelated to previous
occurances. I received an emergency page on Sat and had the elevator
company out within an hour. The problem was the A/C unit for the
elevator..it was not functioning. A saftey device in the elevator
penthouse will not permit the elevator to run if the temp. is too high,
so to protect the motor. Unfortuately, I could not get the A/C repaired
until Sunday. With the A/C functioning properly, the elevator could be
restarted.
Thank you for your patience with our phone issue. I can only say we are
much more frustrated by this whole episode than you could possibly
imagine. Please accept our apology, and understand that this issue is
out of our control.
