I will not be sorry to see 1224 W. Van Buren developed. The scaffolding and the building in general is an eyesore. The downside, will be the the eventual disappearance of our street parking.
1225 Jackson is another issue entirely. For those of us with balconies on the north side of the building, our view of the downtown skyline will probably be completely blocked. We all knew that this was coming eventually though. There is no way that they are going to let all of that valuable property remain as parking lots.
