All,

I know you are tired of my complaining about this issue, but since it has happened again (my package confirmed delivery last week is nowhere to be found) and I haven't been able to get to the Post Office to get a personal PO BOX, I want to understand why the package mail boxes we have downstairs aren't being used at the very least.

It appears we have boxes designed for packages, where the key is left in your mailbox to retrieve. Yet they never seem to be used. Do we have these keys? Does the mail carrier know they should be using these?

I have called the USPS again, as well as I just spoke with our carrier downstairs today (who could care less by the way), but I am still unclear on why those mail boxes specifically designed for package security are not being used.

Maybe I am mistaken and they are being used, I am just never lucky enough to the recipient- so correct me if I am wrong please, but from my conversation with our carrier just now, she seemed to have no answers and makes no attempt to use them. If they aren't being used, is it because of the locks? Or is it an education issue? If one of these two answers is the reason, how can we address this?

Again, I realize the solution for me is to just get the PO BOX, but for the sake of the building and any other 'missing' packages, I am still questioning the use of these boxes downstairs, some items I can't have shipped to a PO BOX, so in those rare occasions, I would like the option of knowing I can still trust it will be placed in our postal lock boxes.

Thank you!
