I can't get into the lot at all to even get to my car, that is the problem.
I have to hop the fence to get into the lot, so if I wanted to use the
clicker to get out, I could. It has been sporadic, which is why I didn't
mention it the first few times it happened, I wouldn't be able to get in,
but I was able to get out when I returned so I didn't think of it..
I don't find it easier to carry the clicker seeing how I don't carry a purse
and I don't drive that often. Having to remember a large bulky remote is
not something I would like to have to do, especially since there is a
perfectly good system in place if someone would just fix the door. I have a
key, I pay for a parking space, I would like the door fixed. If someone
wants to steal my car badly enough that they are going to hop the fence,
break the windows and be thrilled they have the clicker to get out of the
lot... well, this building has bigger security issues then the numerous ones
I have already mentioned countless times...

> so, it's easier for you to hop over that fence than to go back to your car
and retrieve the clicker and walk out the gate? i'm not saying that to be
smart or anything, it just doesn't seem logical to me. when i moved into
the building when it was first opened in '99, that side door was locked due
to some kind of dispute betwen rezmar and one of their contractors or
vendors and none of the residents could open that door until the dispute was
cleared up. from what i remember, it must have been at least 6 months or
so. so that forved everyone into the habit of carrying the clicker between
loft and the parking lot. here's why you shouldn't keep your clicker in the
car - suppose that someone hops over the fence into the parking lot, breaks
into your car with the intention of stealing it...and the only way they can
get out of the lot is because you left your clicker to the gate in your car.
yeah, maybe a one in a thousand chance, but it's there....
