Subject: Parking lot gates

I was leaving the outside parking ramp today and found that the gate was stuck halfway open. Not wanting to take a chance on scratching my car, I decided to go out through the keyed gate on to Throop. My key was not opening it. I asked someone else that I saw to try their key, theirs wouldn't work either.
The good news is that there was enough room for me to get out the sensor gate, otherwise, I would have been stuck in the parking lot. The bad news is that anyone can now walk in through it. Both gates have malfunctioned in the past, but this is the first time that I know of that both have not worked at the same time.
