Subject: Moving norms, and such

It looks like somebody was moving into Vanguard through the front
door/elevator last Friday until instructed that it's not a good idea.
The front door was propped open with telephone books. Although the movers
then moved to the backdoor, it was reported that the elevator door was
jammed and it appeared that some damage was one.
It would help if people who are moving out could remind new tenants of
the norms so of moving in via the back service elevator and that doors
must not be propped open and left unattended. Much of the damage to
elevators and other areas is done by tenants or guests, so if we're all
vigilant, we can reduce problems (and costs...stuff doesn't get fixed
for free).
If you see a propped-open door, shut it, and if you see movers moving
into the front door, report it to the board, to 1P, to the list, or
otherwise make some noise.
Thanks,
Jim / #501
