I'd love to take credit, Manosh, but I didn't catch it. For reasons of
privacy (of person who witnessed it) and pending action against the
offender, I'm just the messenger. The observer has provided the necessary
information, including unit number and some digital pictures.

It's another reason why we should all be vigilant - not just for security
problems, but for vandalism and trashing of property, especially if done
by residents. A jpg of damage is helpful.

Tapes are kept for a short period of time for review when security issues
occur. Past Board members can chime in here, but as I recall, they've
explored adding additional cameras to those currently in place. I think
the conclusion was that adding more would not provide significantly more
security than those currently in place.

Security cameras are useful, but they're no substitute for owner vigilance
in checking out strange noises or suspicious activity.
