I just talked to SunRay a few minutes ago. They said that they can't
give us much of a discount for groups because of the logistics, billing
hassles, and potential snags. But they did offer us this:
1) Vanguard is outside their service area, so that tack $25 onto their
normal rate of $85 for showing up.
2) But, they've never charged Vanguard that extra $25, and have charged us
the basic rate (currently $85).
3) They said that, if we had three or more people on the same day
within the same time frame (9-11, 1-3, whatever) they could knock the
show-up fee down to 70, maybe lower. They explained that they can't waive
it, because too often calls get cancelled and it leaves them in the lurch.
Jeremy, the SunRay contact, said that today about 15 people swarmed the
service fellow asking about AC stuff.
