Mary,

When we moved into our unit 3 years ago the floors were already faded. In
order to try to protect them from further degradation we purchased some UV
window film at The Home Depot but it is difficult to say how effective it
hasbeen because the fading was already there. We do have some artwork and
furniture that hasn't shown any signs of fading yet.... The film was
relatively easy to apply but definitely takes 2-3 people because of the size
of the windows/sliding doors. I don't remember the brand right off hand but
you should be able to research it online at The Home Depot or Menard's. Good
luck.

>Living on the south side of the building has it advantages (great city view
that will probably never be obstructed, low heat bills in the winter) as
wellas it's disadvantages. The one I am trying to correct is the faded
hardwood floors. Before I have mine refinished I would like to have the
windows treated to block the sun. Has anyone had this done, by whom, and
howsatisfied are you with the effects? What product was used?
