David,
Sorry to hear about your door problems. In the new Rules and Regulations to be approved this week, there is a regulation that requires any new doors in the main corridors to be replaced with doors of the same wood species and finish as the existing. Also, new door hardware is to be of the same finish as the existing. This is to keep the corridors uniform from one floor to another, and is something we found consistent in other rules and regulations from other buildings in the city.
Also, note that building code requires corridor doors to be fire rated, to keep fires from spreading from one unit to the rest of the building. (As a result, the doors can be pricey.)
I'm curious though, if the door is crooked, or if it is the frame. Doors are typically milled to close tolerances and I've never had one milled incorrectly on any of my buildings, especially a fire rated door. What usually happens is the frame is installed out of square, causing the door to stick or not close properly. Considering the price of a replacement door, I'd recommend you have everything examined closer before you invest in something that doesn't solve the problem.
But if you need a good door vendor, I can pass on my contacts. Shoot me an e-mail if it comes to that.

Subject: Replacing my door
Hello Neighbours,
The lock on my door has not been working well for months, and i am told by my locksmith that the problem is with the door, not the lock. I guess the original door was on crooked or something, which i guess is not surprising.
Anyway, i was wondering if someone knows if there is any condo regulation regarding getting my front door replaced? Also, do you have any recommendations for a good "door" person/vendor?
Thanks much
David
