This complaint came to the board today:
> There was dog diarreah and urine in the elevator and hall leading to
> back (north) door.
> The time was 7:50am when I left this morning.
The security cameras indicate that a couple of people used the rear door
between about 6:50 and 7:50 pm, and only one had a dog that appears
not to be registered to that unit. We will explore further and notify
the owner.
People, accidents happen. But, failure to clean up after an accident
isn't an accident. It's irresponsible neglect, and will not be
tolerated.
We've had a flood of violations in the past few weeks, and some people
still don't get it: Owners, if you rent, YOU are still responsible for
your renters. We keep repeating, we've issued warnings, some gentle
and others less-so. There have been more violation letters written
in the past few weeks than in the past four years combined!
Please write this down somewhere (and if you rent, pass on to your
tenants):
1) CLEAN UP AFTER YOUR DOG! Or yourself!
2) REGISTER YOUR DOGS WITH 1P!!
3) REGISTER YOUR BIKES!
4) *NO* MOTORCYCLES PARKED BY THE BIKE RACK!!
5) DO NOT TAKE BIKES OUT THE FRONT DOOR
6) DO NOT TAKE DOGS OUT THE FRONT DOOR!
Really, it ain't that hard! The disproportionate number of violators
seem to be renters, so make sure your renters know the rules. Get them
on the Vanguard discussion list if they aren't.
Thanks,
Jim
