Can someone from First Properties or the condo board inform the rest of us
about the nature and extent of our elevator problems? It seems like we have not
had 2 consistently working elevators for nearly a month. The front elevator,
which has really not been fully functional for several months (since the
digital display stopped working) in particular gives the building an appearance
of disrepair. Is there only 1 company that we can employ for our elevator
repairs, or can we looked for a competitor if the 1st repair service cannot
correct our problems? Have we done so already? Are we paying for each service
call, and if so how much is all of this costing the association? I realize that
the elevator problems are to some extent an inheritance from Rezmar, but the
current spate of breakdowns can hardly be blamed on the developer, and the
failure to fix them in a timely manner is really inexcusable. I apologize if
any of these questions are naive, but I am unfamiliar with the vagaries of
elevator maintenance.
