Please!! DO NOT PROP OPEN DOORS for more than a few minutes! It sets of
alarms. Sometimes, it's necessary to prop a door open in the rear when
loading and unloading, but clear immediately and *PLEASE*!! Do not
leave propped-open doors unattended or out of your sight for any reason.
Period!

This morning, around 3:18, a resident propped open the interior and
exterior mats of the lobby for about 20 minutes, leaving them unattended
for periods of time. The mat from the interior door was removed and
crumbled about 20 minutes later, but the front exterior door was left
open. This would allow ANYBODY from the street access to the building.
At such an early hour, this is a serious security breach, not to mention
potential damage to the mats, which cost the Association money to replace.
The front-door exterior mat was removed about 5 a.m. clearing the door,
but there were nearly two hours while it was open.

We have of course, identified the offender. Appropriate action will be
taken.

There are only a few persistent offenders who are in consistent
non-compliance with Association rules, probably only about three or four.
But, this very small five percent makes life difficult for the other
95 percent.

Remember: Building security, like computer security, begins with the
end-user! Do not prop doors open without good cause, NEVER leave them
unattended, and don't let strangers into the building.

And also remember (for the two or three people who forget constantly):
--ALL BIKES MUST BE TAKEN OUT THE BACK
--NO DOGS IN THE FRONT LOBBY, even if carried (it's a dog-free zone)
--DO NOT DAMAGE PROPERTY. It costs us all money!

Sorry for posting this to everybody, but we just have to keep announcing
it for those couple of folks who seem learning-impaired.
