Ouch! (previous boards preferring silence?... don't think you can speak of
their preference if you weren't a board member at the time).

I wasn't just referring to the parking... just noticed a pattern over the
past year (= new) of last minute notifications. As an owner, I expect
timely notifications as the norm. I have no problem with receiving email
notifications... just not last minute...on a regular basis. The email below
was sent out to "All" at 9 something a.m. on 7/6 to ask people to move a
vehicle by Noon of that same day. What was the point? I was just making a
comment that a lot is being assumed... We are in disagreement, which is
fine. I don't have time and can't check personal email at work. I wouldn't
have time to check it once let alone every three hours to see if I received
an email from the Vanguard Board. I guess that just leaves me uninformed,
that's not always a bad thing.

It makes me feel warm and fuzzy to know that the board is watching everyones
movement in the building.

Deb

All,

If you have a vehicle parked in a visitor parking space, you will need to
remove the vehicle by noon today (7/6/2007) or it will be towed at the
expense of the owner. The stone for the parkway landscape project is
being delivered today and it will be dumped behind the building in the
visitor parking spaces.

As a reminder, visitor parking is for visitors and contractors. We've had
a number of residents in the building using the visitor parking spaces as
"personal parking spaces" or an additional parking space for a second
vehicle.

The Board is monitoring the parking spaces and is keeping track of repeat
offenders.

RE: 2) If people want to know what's going on, they have the obligation
to check the forums where it occurs.

My response: I believe that First Properties and the board have the
obligation of keeping owners informed. There's this little document called
the Illinois Condominium
