The problem is most likely that the hinges are loose. Try tightening the
screws for the hinges on the door side.
What probably is happening is that the door is slightly racked causing it
not to close properly. This is a common problem with heavy wood doors and a
metal frame (such as ours).
Hope this helps

I'm having the same door problem-won't close properly. I assumed it swelled
with humidity or something. Did the locksmith think it could be fixed
without replacement? Liz 608

The lock on my door has not been working well for months, and i am told by
my locksmith that the problem is with the door, not the lock. I guess the
original door was on crooked or something, which i guess is not surprising.
Anyway, i was wondering if someone knows if there is any condo regulation
regarding getting my front door replaced? Also, do you have any
recommendations for a good "door" person/vendor?
Thanks much
