Rick,
The elevator was working but being tempermental. A few weeks ago another resident taught me a trick. When do door closes you will sometimes have to do a small jump (No Joke) because it might not register the weight of someone in there.
Again, I know it sounds funny but it works every time...granted we shouldn't have to go to such lengths just to go up and down an elevator...but at least there is a work around...right?
