Perhaps Michael, because he has moved out of the building, feels less
need to be constrained in either the tone or accuracy of his remarks.
For the record, he has never requested to be removed from the e-mail
list until his latest post.
But, for the new folk on the list, some clarification:
A condo board tries to balance competing needs and interests of all
residents. A condo secretary has the dodgy duty of communicating
news to residents. The current board tries to be open and communicate
as much as possible to residents, including reminders about meetings,
discussion items, and other information. As secretary, I have the
"fun" of posting it. Not everybody knows who's on the Board, so when
we post Association information, we try to remember to identify ourselves.
The current Board believes that reminders of rules, such as no dogs
in the front lobby, no bikes through the front door, or requiring dog
owners to clean up after their dogs if they urinate or defecate in
the building, are better than fines. Nearly all dog owners are
responsible. But, when a dog takes a dump by the mailroom and it
isn't cleaned up, most of us would agree it's a bit tacky of the owner.
We indicated in a previous post that, when the rear elevator isn't
working, owners may use the front elevator.
I hope this helps put things in perspective bit.
