If you cancel and you are under contract penalty. If you pay the penalty then you might as well had paid all the way through typically. I have been not renewed a contract and have been without service for since last summer. I didn't get a call back waiting for HD. By the time I got called back and got a ridiculous quote on a HD DVR receiver for 200 more than what I can go by myself and Roddy telling me that they won't connect an HD receiver I bought from Dish Network to their system I was told Comcast would soon be an option. This was before NBA season started... It is almost all start break now.... I am about ready to cave in. Off Air HD isn't that great being so close to downtown and being on the southside of the building. Roddy even mentioned they don't offer Off Air HD antennas on the roof for local channels. If service were to fail. Nothing free basically.... I don't think strong arming will work... But I do believe they don't get your SSN on installation if you refuse which means you can just fight
over the money and not worry about them reporting you to the credit bureau. If you gave out your SSN just pay the money and keep the service unless you really want to unite and join the cause...

I like Toms idea.It wouldn't bother me a bit being without TV for
awhile, there's not much on it anyway.
