It sounds like my fan is blowing but there is not heat coming out of the vents. i have lived in the building 6 years and have had to have them come reset it every year.it am really sick of spending money on this. they did tell me last year that they are faulty units and same with the AC. i have to have them out multiple times a summer to refill my AC unit. it really pisses me off.
Kim, i have them scheduled to come out this afternoon but do you think i should cancel and wait for you??? thanks,Robin

It is a pain. Robin, I know where the button is as I've had to do a few times already too. I'm home around 6-6.30 tonight. Just let me know if you want me to stop by.

The number for Certified Heating is 847-966-1155.

Robin,

What type of issue are you having and what type of work has been performed.

Like anything mechanical there are several pieces that can fail.  The most common are pressure switches, ignitors and inducers.  All three can cost about $150 - $300 per trip.

Other factors that can play a role are:

   - Blower motors
   - Circuit board for controls

Given our units are 10 years old and the mounts are horizontal it is not surprising that a number of people have been and will see issues.  It is just that time, plus I have been told by numerous individuals that horizontally mounted units can be more problematic in the long run.
That said I have had similar issues with both vertically mounted systems and horizontal systems so it kind of is what it is.  Pieces wear out...that is just a fact.
Anywho...hopefully certified can help.
