I think also, we are all assuming that someone else has reported the problem.
If Michael is not in the building over the weekend and no one has placed a
call he has no way of knowing there is/was a problem. I am also at fault
because I assumed it had been called in. I think we all need to take a more
active approach when something in our building isn't working. I promise to do
this going forward even if I think it's been called in.

elevator, a repair was made the SAME DAY. (within 3 hours, to be exact).

elevator is not working. What's of greater concern is why does it take so long
to get them up and running after a breakdown, and what processes are available
to prevent repair delays. Its obvious this is going to be

is needed.

is moot since BOTH ELEVATORS ARE NOW OUT OF ORDER!!! (sort of like the CHA).
John's comment this morning after going out for a bike ride was "six flights
is tough on the elderly and overweight". My comment is
>that NO ONE should ever be expected to have to use the stairs, however
infrequently the situation occurs. The front elevator should have been
repaired immediately. Are they called on weekends or do we wait until Monday
to call for service? And if we waited until Monday, why is it
>still out of order on Wednesday? Saying that it will cost us to make the
elevators reliable seems, to me, to be a tactic to make the excuses more
palatable. I'm sure management expected that they could get by with one
elevator out of order. I guess they were wrong and hopefully have
>learned that repairs have to be made in a more timely manner and excuses from
the elevator company met with the same skepticism that I have!
